In all of Montana there exists no more complete and strikingly beautiful resort as The Ranch at Rock Creek. This proclamation echoed by a Forbes Travel Guide feature status.

While I do begrudgingly concede that The Ranch at Rock Creeks' prominent status in Southwest Montana, there does remain millions of travelers traveling the roads of Montana that can/do not fit into their capacities. 

There exists a great deal of commonality between The Ranch at Rock Creek and the Boulder Creek Lodge. The mountains, the numerous spring, summer, fall events that make up southwest Montana, and the special people that make up communities of southwest Montana are shared by both resorts.

The Happiest Place in Montana - Substituting as a elementary school teacher in Rockford, Illinois

Purchasing the Boulder Creek Lodge in southwest Montana was the result of an eight year search. While we had a fantastic first summer in business at the resort, it was always planned to have an "off-season" that would include a job to augment the first year in a new business.

Thompson Elementary School located in Rockford, Illinois is step one in my journey of living my dream in southwest Montana between May and November. It has been 17 years since I have taught in an elementary school setting.  Perhaps it is time to take a different perspective on the educational process.

The Happiest Place in Montana - Candy Land was a board game, Sweet Palace is a very real to life destination.

Attention Minneapolis, Minnesota, Chicago, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia.  The happiest place in Montana just happens to be located 11 miles north from north America's real life, real sweet version of Candy Land the Philipsburg, Montana Sweet Palace in southwest Montana.

The Sweet Palace is known throughout most of the western United States as a place for each and every family to visit for a very special family event. I personally have never seen a child or a child at heart exit the Sweet Palace without a smile or a large bag of candy.

The Happiest Place in Montana: People are stuck: in traffic, their cubicles or daily grind. "It's Time" to fix that

People all over the world are stuck. Some are stuck in traffic, others in their work cubicles and yet others just in their daily grind. For most of the world there exists little opportunity to get away and escape from day to day worries and endless stress encounters. Washington, DC our nations capitol while historic and grand, it does not compare with the beauty of southwest Montana.

Washington, DC has the U.S. Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument and its many war memorials.

As a nearly lifelong midwestern resident of Rockford,Illinois I have met many a professional in different industries. These professionals have been fellow church members, high school friends, fellow school teachers, youth baseball families, high school sports families and extended family and loved ones.  Many of these families work extremely hard in order to provide the best for their children or loved ones.

Sadly, I have known many acquaintances that seldom take a "Real Vacation" that is completely out of their stressful day to day existence.

The Walt Disney Company was a significant part of my life growing up in the midwest. Every weekend my family was assured a personal visit by Walt Disney to our living room. :-)

As an adult I have been consumed by Walt Disney's life, obstacles he faced, choices he made, management style he developed, hospitality philosophies, corporate identity, product branding, and the art of "Constantly Business Plussing".

The backbone in the decision to purchase the Boulder Creek Lodge in Hall, Montana was based on my wish to replicate at Boulder Creek as many reincarnations of Walt's undaunting passion and success formulas for business as possible.

While the Walt Disney Company has copyrighted the rightful goal of Walt Disney World/Disneyland being "The Happiest Places on Earth" my goal is to take one small step each and every day with the hope of creating my version of the "Happiest Place in Montana".

While Walt Disney in fact created the company that exists today, Bob Iger the current CEO has quietly taken the Disney Company to heights never thought possible.

Disney Company does in fact have many incredible venues located all over the world. I hope that the Disney Company needs just one more viable option for an employee getaway, brainstorming location, or as a perk for their high performing Disney Cast Members.
