Culinary Chef Intern Positions Available

Discover the mountains! Work and play in the middle of beauty Montana in 2016. Boulder Creek Lodge the region's premier resort and restaurant, located in picturesque Southwest Montana, is searching for a quality Chef and an Assistant Chef.

The Boulder Creek Lodge is located halfway between Missoula and Butte and is looking for outgoing, friendly and hardworking team members for the 2016 season.

We have both Chef and Assistant Chef positions available. Both positions are an ideal opportunity for those with experience but could also provide an excellent internship for a student launching a career.

We are looking for individuals with high culinary expectations and a desire to provide outstanding dining experiences for our customers. Our guests seek a “wow” factor when visiting the Boulder Creek Lodge.

We are a family oriented, family style establishment and provide a fun, upbeat and positive working environment.

Seasonal internship commitment would be from May 1 – September 16, with possible extension to November 30.

Position Expectations:
·         Preparation of extremely high quality food
·         Maintain the highest level for ALL menu items
·         Utilize recipe cards and presentation standards for all menu items
·         Follow proper food rotation procedures by labeling and dating all products used
·         Responsible for daily preparation of food items and station set up
·         Must work in an organized, safe, and sanitary manner
·         Maintain and abide by Montana State and OSHA safety, sanitation and health regulations
·         Restocking items throughout and at the end of the shift
·         Work at and perform at a consistent pace
·         Stay productive at all times
·         Perform, communicate and problem solve
·         Demonstrate flexibility and volunteer to fill open shifts
·         Assist with ordering necessary food items according to business needs and demands
·         Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair
·         Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, whereby you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining stock control procedures
·         Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned
·         Willingness to work as team member to ensure work environment is family oriented, fun upbeat and positive at all times
·         Willingness to work as a team member, setting up tables and other needs for optimum guest outcome

Compensation Includes:
·         Lodging & Utilities
·         Meals
·         Two days off per week to enjoy the many recreation and fun opportunities of southwest Montana
·         Hourly pay/wage will be based on abilities and job responsibilities
